About FatCow
FatCow provides great web hosting, no bull, that’s the company motto. A web hosting company with a difference, FatCow web hosting is a breed of its own, beefed up with all the know how to get you up and running on the Net. At FatCow they offer the consumer an easy to own, easy to use service with all the provisions to provide you with real business value. They pride themselves on their non techno babble approach, keeping to just a one price plan option.

Plans and Features
The plan that FatCow offer is a shared hosting package using UNIX servers. The Original FatCow Plan includes 1,500GB storage and 15,000GB bandwidth, that’s 500 Gigs a day. With unlimited email, 2 website building tools, easy to install blogs and forums, $80 worth of Search Engine Ad credits and an E-store builder by shopsite they certainly have a lot to offer. Apart from the web hosting services this plan also includes the following features, website management, domain registration and services, email and ecommerce services, scripting and add-ons and marketing services to boot, a real all round beefy package.

FatCow also provide the MiniMoo Plan, which is fantastic for those of you who have yet to finish your websites. If all you have is domain name and email address then this package is for you. The MiniMoo offers a domain parking service with a coming soon page, 1 email account, email forwarding, email auto responders and friendly toll free support. This FatCow plan will get you up and running and get the word out until your ready to hit the big time. They also provide applications such as, WordPress, Gallery2, GBook and phpBB.

Pricing
The regular yearly fee for the Original FatCow plan is usually $88, however they are currently offering a whole years service for just $66, now that’s a bargain. Plus there are no set up fees and you’ll get instant activation.

The FatCow MiniMoo plan is even better value, at just $5 a year you can have your domain, parked and on-line spreading the word for you while you prep your website.

Reliability
Due to the lack of techno babble FatCow don’t have the usual confusing mumbo jumbo, about Cisco networking, Dell hardware, servers and datacenter’s, uptime rates, etc., which makes it hard in this Hostname review to compare them with other web hosting providers. However, the MooCrew are always at hand with 24/7 customer support via phone, email and live chat. FatCow’s MooCrew also provide a FAQ library, customizable control panel and step-by-step tutorials to ensure their customers have all the help they need to get their business up and running.

Summary
FatCow was founded in 1998 and now have a decades worth of experience in their udders. FatCow has been deliberately designed to be alternative, not only in its aesthetics but also with its web hosting package. FatCow specifically target the small to medium business end of the market and are great believers in a simple, customer friendly, old fashioned approach to web hosting compared to other competitors.

If you’re looking for an easy, inexpensive web host provider who’ll give you all the support you need without all the confusing price schemes and techno babble but still require an excellent service then FatCow is the one for you
